'Badass' national park flooded with fan mail after fighting Trump on Twitter Posted: 14 Apr 2017 03:01 PM PDT In the days immediately following President Donald Trump's inauguration, when the world was in need of a climate change defender, a few National Park Service Twitter accounts epically rose to the challenge. The rebellious Badlands National Park Twitter account went rogue in January, fighting the president's climate change denial by sharing environmental facts. We've now learned that in addition to the positive response on social media, the staff at the national park was flooded with messages of love in the form of handwritten postcards and emails from hundreds of thankful supporters around the country. The emails and postcards were among other documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. SEE ALSO: 'Rogue' national park Twitter account wasn't so rogue after all, emails show Though tweets containing important information about climate change were deleted from the Badlands Twitter account on Jan. 24., they clearly made a powerful impact on followers discouraged by the Trump administration's anti-climate change beliefs and the temporary social media gag order placed on The Interior Department. Badlands National Park's deleted tweets.Image: twitterIn response to Badlands' Twitter activity from Jan. 20 to 23, heartfelt letters and doodles were sent, assuring the Badlands social media director and employees of the park that their heroic, uncensored acts of resistance and efforts to properly educate using scientific facts did not go unnoticed. Here are just a few of the many grateful messages, selected from more than 800 included in the documents: Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: INTERIOR DEPARTMENT Image: Interior departmentAccording to the documents, the story isn't quite as heroic as the email and letter writers believed. A former seasonal employee at Badlands National Park was responsible for sending the climate change tweets, the records show. Once the outside access to the park's Twitter account became apparent to the park's employees, they deleted the emails, and eventually provided a report to the National Archives about the incident. The archives is responsible for storing government social media content. This case differs from the Twitter account of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which also tweeted climate change facts right after the inauguration. In that case, the tweets were authorized based on Park Service guidelines in place at the time. Science Editor Andrew Freedman contributed reporting. Starbucks could be jumping onto the unicorn train with a new drink Posted: 14 Apr 2017 09:07 AM PDT Don't know if you've heard, but unicorn things are a thing right now. A huge major thing. But even if you haven't been paying attention, it turns out Starbucks has. Evidence has surfaced online that Starbucks is planning to release a limited-time drink to their menu called the Unicorn Frappuccino. And it might be topped with glitter like in this picture. SEE ALSO: How to keep your Easter egg decorating on trend this year If you don't believe in Unicorns, it's ok, cause the #unicornfrappuccino is coming to a #Starbucks near you. Launching 4/14. A post shared by Hiro Allen-Pope (@super_hiro_pope) on Apr 11, 2017 at 12:45pm PDT This discovery comes to us via Reddit, where user hellabummed posted this picture to the Starbucks subreddit. A conversation ensued in the comments on the post about what the recipe to this supposed unicorn frappuccino might be. "We just guessed white mocha cream based frapp, mango inside and the new pink powder we got," hellabummed said. "Recipe cards don't come out until the April 14. You're not supposed to open the powders until the April 17 because of their very short shelf life," Redditor StormtheParade replied. Pictures of these powders were also posted on Reddit, which only gives us more proof that this unicorn frappuccino may be an actual thing. If the discussion within these posts on the Starbucks subreddit can be trusted, the unicorn frappuccino will be hitting the menu on April 19. Recipe cards were given to baristas on April 14, and the powders should not be opened until April 17 because they have a short shelf life. As for what they may taste like, Redditor hellabummed said it "tastes just like those tropical Skittles." When we reached out to Starbucks for comment, a Starbucks spokesperson told us, "We're still working our Frappuccino magic and don't have any details to share at this time." There's just a few days until April 19, so we'll find out soon if that "magic" has anything to do with blue "unicorn dust." WATCH: This mug solves the worst thing about coffee

Nine Filipinos were nailed to crosses in three villages in the province of Pampanga, 80 km (50 miles) north of the capital, Manila, drawing hundreds of tourists despite the Catholic church's disapproval of what it sees as a form of folk religion. Ruben Enaje, who was nailed to a cross for the 31st consecutive time, said praying for those killed by criminals and drug addicts in the country was his key motivation to participate this year.
