Trenta comes from the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement which has always been critical of NATO member Italy's order for 90 of the planes, saying the money could be better spent to boost welfare and help the sluggish economy. "We won't buy any more F-35s," Trenta said in a television interview with private broadcaster La 7. |

Starbucks back in hot water, 'disrespects' stutterer Posted: 06 Jul 2018 02:39 PM PDT Starbucks was back in hot water Friday, three months after a branch manager called the police on two black men -- this time for seemingly mocking a customer with a stutter. When the customer, called Sam, gave his drink order in a Philadelphia Starbucks on June 27 he stuttered over his name. The barista replied "Okay, S-s-s-sam" and, retrieving his iced coffee, found the label was marked "SSSAM," according to friend and business school student Tan Lekwijit, who reported the incident on Facebook. |

Israel threatens Syria over Golan deployment, extends refugee aid Posted: 05 Jul 2018 12:01 PM PDT By Dan Williams JERUSALEM (Reuters) - An Israeli cabinet minister warned Syria and its backer Russia on Thursday that Israel could attack Damascus' forces if they try to deploy in a demilitarized border zone while advancing against rebels in the region. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launched an offensive last month to regain southern Deraa, and is expected to aim next for rebel-held Queitra, abutting the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Many of them have sought shelter at the Jordanian border or the Golan lines with Israel, generating pressure on both countries to provide relief. |

In his first comments about the incident, he claimed he "didn't remember any negative interactions" during his appearance at the event in the town of Creston, British Colombia. |

Zimbabwe minister sees election boost to 'collapsed' economy Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:09 PM PDT Zimbabwe's finance minister says historic elections this month will bolster efforts to revive an economy that he admits "collapsed" due to Robert Mugabe's land reforms. In an interview with AFP, Patrick Chinamasa, one of President Emmerson Mnangagwa's closest allies, predicted the ruling ZANU-PF party would "resoundingly" win the July 30 vote, the first elections since Mugabe was ousted last November after 37 years in power. |
Reinventing Your Adult Relationship With a Parent Posted: 06 Jul 2018 07:38 AM PDT No matter how old you or your parents are, some things never change. Namely, your parents seem to still have a special knack for pushing your buttons or inserting themselves into your adult life. Some parents are overbearing and constantly intrusive in obvious ways. Others are more subtle: Their annoying behavior feels on the surface inconsequential, but over time can strain or irritate. |
